In Action!

Good Sunday morning!

Me and my lady were able to get an early start. We started off by having coffee and pancakes with our good friend Rodriguez. He had invited us a couple of days ago; originally it was supposed to be 4 of us but my other homie wasn’t able to make it due to his long hours of work.

We started by going down the street on main st. over to one of our favorite local eateries Natachees. Pancakes and coffee was our choice of breakfast. As we ate, we talked about what we have been up to these past few days. All in all breakfast was amazing.

Shortly after we split ways and headed over to Memorial Park Arboretum to have a family shoot for about an hour. The family was very nice and fun, you can definitely tell there is never a dull moment with them! They wanted to incorporate there 2 huge dogs in the family session, so you can image how chaotic it got really quickly. Although we had so many things going on we still managed to have fun.

Finally we were able to make it out to the walls me and the crew had painted the day before to get some flicks of the stuff we had created. Sadly some of the pieces were not done yet, so me and the wifey decided to have a short portrait session while I put the finishing touches to the work of art I have created. Fun day on Main street!

So we set out to conquer the walls! INS Collective decided to take a break from the studio and breath in the fresh air mother nature has brought to us this past Saturday. Creativity at its finest, creating nothing but the finest graffiti in the streets of Houston is what we do. Empire, Jerk, Age (Gear), Nacho (Myself), Meenr, and Kato is the line up.

We were not sure if the first spot was going to be available, so we just sat around twiddling our thumbs for about an hour. Finally when we got the no go, Seconds after we decided to relocate. We were not taking no for an answer. So we headed down the street to our good friend/crew mate Weah’s spot on Main st. Great location right dead smack in the middle of Mid-town. This location can be seen off the metro rail, so its in a high traffic area.

As so soon as I got to the wall, inspiration flowed through my veins. Normally I have a sketch in hand, but this time I let the motivation take over. Line after line, spray after spray, I have created my first freehand painting ( and it felt good). This time I felt a load of confidence come over me and I did not stop.

I loved it how spectators just rolled on through to take pictures. Often to stop and ask questions about how we came up with our style and how long we have been painting. It amazes me how we influence the people in our community with our passion.

Expose art show

Hello,

I had the pleasure of displaying some of my recent works with some of the best street artist in Houston! The show was a great turn out, tons of people came in like an avalanche. If you missed this one there will be more to come. I hope you enjoy these photograph’s, my wife Paty Lennon went ahead and took a few photographs of some of the paintings I had hung up for the show.

I have decided to bring in more color to my life. I normally paint more color out on the streets, but this time around I wanted to bring the color home. I am really pleased of the outcome, my work stands out even more and have received a lot more feedback than normal. One thing that has always stuck with me is making my own canvas’s or re-using a lot of old material. Every once and a while I scrounge up some change a buy some wood to make a frame. I believe that it brings more meaning to the art when you create it from scratch.

Some of the paintings that I have shown here are inspirations that have brought back from Lima, Peru. My travels to Ollantambo was really inspirational, being on a bus for over 24hrs riding along the Pacific can be tire some. I took that time to think to myself about how life is in America. There is an over whelming amount of poverty going on around the world and we don’t even know it. Watching little kids at the foot of the mountain of Machu Picchu was really heart wrenching. Trying to make ends meets for some water or some food is a struggle in its self. So please when you see a hungry person give them life. Give them something to look forward too. Something to eat. Enjoy.

Hello Everyone and there mothers! I decided to end the year with a nice piece. I had given a ring to my friend Daniel to see if he had any available walls to paint. Of course he came through!

I’ve actually been wanting to paint this spot for long time. Time has finally permitted for me to release the creativity that has been built up for a little while. Well I hope that you enjoy this new piece!

“Worlds Imagined”

This is a project that I was gladly apart of this past weekend. TEDx Youth Houston 2014 featured a piece of work I was asked to do specifically for this event!

It was a mission to complete with this hectic weather we’ve had this week . A very good friend of mine was able to give me this opportunity. Thanks for making this happen! These are just a couple pictures of the my work at the event. I hope you enjoy!

Mango’s-Nifico!

Good Day!

I was able to finish up another work of art over the weekend! Out of all the hecticness we had this weekend I was able to sneak in some painting! Went a little big with this one. I will try to get a more finished picture alil later on when the rest of the crew finishes up. Going to add some do-dats here and there as well! A good start for a new week! New Attempt!

Here is something I began yesterday evening. Finished the rest today after work. Luckly it hasn’t hit daylight savings time yet for some good light!

This is something new I’m trying out. Next time I hope to add some type on the bottom half, so it can look like its really tearing into another page. Hope you enjoy the evolution of my work. I constantly try and stay on top of my sketching, to develop more style and bring a new drawing to the table every time I paint. Great Saturday

Got a good start for today! My lady and I were able to shoot a nice couple this morning. They were such great subjects to capture.
Shortly after I got a chance to start and finish a piece. Really liking this color palette. I hope you enjoy. Keep an eye out for the next one!

Update to “Meeting of Styles”

So I took off on my lunch break to get these pictures! I wish I remembered to grab my good camera, we’re just gonna have to make it with our good ol’ iPhone! I also edited the pictures and snapped a couple of pictures of the crew pieces. I hope you enjoy the pieces we painted over the weekend. Long story short the wall had been up in the air for a good week. So we were able to manage and come through with this, props to everyone that put in work over the weekend it’s well deserved.

Meeting of styles!

So I got a chance to paint at the “Meeting of Styles” this year! Here area couple of pictures of what I got a chance to get. I will upload a few more later on in the week!
